How does hair grow?
Hair grows in different stages. Because all of the hair isn't on the same stage at any given time, multiple treatments are needed for permanent hair removal. Follicle can be coagulated only in the growth stage (anagen phase). Since only
10 to 20% of hairs are in the first phase, it is necessary to repeat treatments. Depending on the region of the body, hair composition, origin, age and hormones, 4 to 6 treatments at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks are required for face
treatments, and 6 to 12 weeks for body treatments. Light and fluffy hair (vellus) cannot be removed by this method, due to lack of melanin to absorb light. Longer intervals between treatments (e.g. holiday) do not have negative effect on
results.

The principle of work
Epil Combi offers you a fast, safe and gentle method which permanently removes unwanted hair. Visible light energy is applied to particular part of the body, using the JPL handle. The coat which contains pigment (melanin) absorbs light energy and converts it into heat, without skin injury. The heat reaches the hair follicle and coagulates it. The principle of operation is only effective on hair follicles and does not damage the tissue surrounding the hair root. Hair follicles are selectively destroyed, so that the root is no longer able to generate new hair.

Preparing for the treatment
We ask you please to avoid wax epilation or any kind of mechanical hair plucking before and during the treatment, because it affects the hair growth cycle. The only way that does not disturb the hair growth cycle is shaving, so it's an ideal way to solve the hair problem during the treatment. Avoid the sun or solarium at least 4 weeks before the treatment. Regions of skin covered with tattoos or permanent makeup cannot be treated. Unpredictable thermal reactions may lead to scarring or a pigment change.
The treatment procedures
Before the treatment, the area to be treated is carefully shaved, cleaned and disinfected. Depending on the region, the treatment lasts from 10 to 60 minutes. Local anesthesia is not required. Depending on the sensitivity of the client, a flash that lasts millisecond feels like a tingling sensation. After the treatment, slight redness can occur but it is quickly withdrawn and the skin looks natural.
