How are tattoos removed?

Laser is currently the only way that can permanently remove a tattoo. Depending on the tattoos, different types of lasers are used. In our salon we work with Nd Yag laser that predominantly removes black, green and blue pigments. The treatment has almost no side effects. Depending on the threshold of sensitivity it is almost painless, and provides excellent results.

How the laser treatment works?

During tattooing pigment is being implanted under the skin. Tattoo pigment particles are too big, what makes absorption impossible. Using the extreme power of light, the laser burns pigment in a millisecond. Because of the very short exposure to the light, skin remains unharmed. Pigment fragments into smaller pieces which are then removed by normal body processes. The broken-down ink is then absorbed by the body. When removed in that way, pigment moves from downer to

upper layers of skin. That is why tattoo is removed more and more with each treatment.

Which tattoos are removed best?

If when choosing tattoo you are already thinking about the best way to remove it, it is better to give up the idea. A tattoo is a lifetime decision. Removal is long and expensive, and success is not always guaranteed. The best results show a black and blue pigment. White, yellow and red are more challenging to treat. The treatment may result in pigment changes.

How much does the treatment cost?

Redness and sometimes bubbles and lymph can occur in the first few days after the treatment. A scab will appear and it should not be removed prematurely. Redness remains few weeks after the scab has fallen off. During that time skin is very sensitive. Avoid anything that may cause irritation, especially the sun, or if you have to stay in the sun, use a strong protective factor. Next treatment is recommended only when redness withdraws completely.
